Nate Wiberg

Senior Planner

Nate Wiberg is a Senior Community and Economic Development Planner who has been serving the Southwest Utah region with the Five County Association of Governments for over five years. Nate is skilled at developing long term strategies, and has a passion for identifying communities needs and priorities for integration into useful plans. He was the lead planner in the development of FCAOG’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) in 2020, and will conduct the update process for the CEDS in 2022. Along with his work in long-range planning, Nate also assists with the administration of several grant programs at the local, state, and federal level. These grant funds have proved crucial towards promoting economic recovery, providing critical business relief during the pandemic, and supporting infrastructure development which benefit communities across the Region.

Nate holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Ecology from the University of Utah and earned a certificate in Economic Development from Utah Valley University. Nate is the proud father of two boys who enjoys spending time with family, woodcarving, and is an avid cyclist.
