Bryan Thiriot

Executive Director

Bryan Thiriot was appointed as the Executive Director of the Five County Association of Governments in May of 2013.  Bryan is a native of St. George and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree from Dixie College.  He continued his studies at Weber State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors majoring in Political Science with a minor in Communications.  At Weber State, Bryan served in student government his senior year, which he credits as his start in politics. Bryan went on to earn a Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah. His research at the University of Utah focused on the proposed annexation of Wendover, UT into West Wendover, NV. The report “Line Dancing: Municipal Unification Across State Borders” was presented to the Western Political Science Association in both Oregon and Chicago, IL.

Professionally, Bryan has over 15 years of experience working in the Congressional arena.  He previously worked in the offices of two United States Senators, Orrin G. Hatch and Robert F. Bennett, spending time on Capitol Hill and in both the Northern and Southern regions of Utah.

Bryan is married to Kathy Bischoff of Ogden, Utah, and is the proud father of three children.
